The challenge
An annual report for three audiences: certified companies, applicants and public authorities. It was rebuilt from scratch each year, with the internal team working out the structure while finalising data.
How I joined in
I joined before design, at the outline stage. We defined the chapters, order and how many figures each spread could hold. Only then did we open InDesign.
What I did
- Editorial structure and data hierarchy agreed before layout
- Typography and chart system reusable year after year
- Templates for the internal team to update figures without returning to the studio
- Digital version and promotional assets from the same system
Result
In the second year, it took half the time to produce and reached twice the audience.
